Why professional services is different
In professional services, your people are the product — and they know exactly what their benefits are worth. Accountants, consultants, designers, and attorneys compare offers line by line, and a weak health plan quietly costs you your best hires to the big firms.
The good news: a small firm does not need a big-firm budget to compete. We build lean, high-quality packages — rich PPO networks, HSAs, executive layers for partners — that read like a large-company benefits guide while staying inside a small-firm budget.
We understand your challenges
- Losing candidates and staff to larger firms with richer benefits
- Partners and staff needing different levels of coverage
- No HR department to run renewals and open enrollment
- Remote and multi-state employees complicating networks
- Year-over-year premium increases with no explanation
How we help
- Big-firm benefit quality structured for a small-firm budget
- Tiered designs for partners, managers, and staff
- ICHRA and defined-contribution options for cost control
- Multi-state networks for remote and hybrid teams
- A renewal strategy with real alternatives, not a rollover
What we put in place
Competitive PPO & HSA designs
National networks and HSA-eligible plans your recruits will actually compare favorably against big-firm offers — quoted across multiple carriers.
Partner & executive tiers
Class-based designs that give owners and partners enhanced coverage or buy-up options while controlling the staff contribution.
ICHRA for lean firms
A defined-contribution alternative where the firm funds a fixed allowance and each employee picks their own plan — predictable cost, zero plan administration.
Renewal & open enrollment handled
We run the renewal analysis, employee meetings, and enrollment paperwork so your office manager does not lose November to benefits season.
Who we help in professional services
- CPA and accounting firms
- Consultancies, agencies, and marketing firms
- Architecture, engineering, and design studios
- Financial advisory and wealth management practices
- Staffing, recruiting, and HR services firms
The coverage starts with you, but it stays with them.
Employees can keep their benefits for as long as they want — even if they move to a new job.
Frequently asked questions
Can partners be on a different plan than staff?+
Yes — we structure class-based plans for partner and employee tiers, and ownership structure (partners, members, shareholders) determines exactly how each person can be covered. We walk you through it.
What is an ICHRA and why do firms like it?+
An Individual Coverage HRA lets the firm contribute a fixed, tax-free monthly amount that each employee uses to buy their own individual plan. You set the budget; employees get choice; and there is no group plan to administer or renew.
We have employees in four states. Does that work?+
Yes. We use carriers with national PPO networks or pair an ICHRA with local individual plans, so a remote hire in another state does not break your benefits strategy.
Do you handle COBRA and qualifying events?+
We coordinate with COBRA administrators and handle the qualifying-event paperwork throughout the year — new hires, terminations, status changes — so nothing falls through the cracks.
How early should we start the renewal process?+
Ninety days before your renewal date. That gives us time to re-quote the market, model contribution changes, and hold employee meetings without rushing a decision.
